ASIAN AMERICAN

Dr. Jia Lao grew up in the Midwest.  After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan, she moved to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming an optometrist.  In 2007, Dr. Lao completed her Doctorate of Optometry from SUNY College of Optometry with honors.  Dr. Lao has many years of experience working in ophthalmology and optometry practices in New York City as well as the California Bay Area.  Her professional interests include primary care optometry, surgical co-management, and ocular disease prevention and treatment.  Recently, Dr. Lao relocated with her family to Orange County and hopes to continue to serve the community around her new home.  In her spare time, Dr. Lao enjoys baking sweet treats for her friends and family.
